I have got to say this time round with a baby I have tended to make most of the main course baby food myself. Only sometimes I run out of ideas and things can get a bit repetative, so when I came across this I thought I'd get it and just add it to anything I made.
Now I thought I had paid 65p when I forst bought it but I bought one from Tesco and it was 45p.

The sauce can be heated in a saucepan on the hob or in a microwave after tearing off a corner of the pouch.

If you choose not to use all the sauce at once you can keep any unheated sauce in the fridge for up to 48 hours. The first time I used it I used it over the 2 days.
As she loves pasta I first mixed some in with the tiny pastaand fed it to her, I have also added it to emergency mashed cauliflower I had in the freezer. This time I bought the sauce I cooked some broccili and lentils and mixed the sauce in with that.. Its all gone down well.
Although I would recommend this sauce I wish I had found it earlier as babes is now eating mainly what we do although I like to keep some emergency food in the freezer.
...mine from Asda. The Heinz 3 Cheese Sauce is perfect as its specially made for babies so has no added salt (only natural salts found in cheese). There is also no other artificial colourings or flavours. It is a smooth cheesy sauce made with Cheddar, cream and paresman cheese. It also has potato and carrots included so contributes to your baby's five a day. To prepare this product you simple place a small tear in the packet and throw it in the micro ...

Advantages: Good variety, no hidden 'no no' ingredients Disadvantages: Pricey
After looking over various jars of other manufacturers of baby food, I found the Mum's own recipe ones to be one of the best. Unlike a lot of products out there, the nutritional value is much better with no added preservatives, gluten etc etc. Unfortunately there are many out there that have all too much sugar, gluten and other 'no no's'. If like myself, you mostly prepare your own purees etc, but also need to purchase a handful of jars etc for outings/emergencies etc, then I would recommend these ones. They also have plenty of variety and yummy recipes and have no hesitations whatsoever in giving them to my little one. He seems to love each and everyone that I have tried so far. Of course, the best food for them is your own cooked and pureed, but these have to be a close second. Unfortunately though, as with all baby products they are ...

Advantages: The closest baby food to "homecooked" Disadvantages: The 7 month range seems a bit limited
of a problem. they are quite hard, and are a bit too small to chew, so I found that they were getting stuck in her throat.
However, overall I would recommend Heinze, especially if your little one likes homecooked food, as I think this baby food range is the closest thing to it. I would like to see them increase their range to include some puddings for the 7 month old range which I cannot seem to find. ...
