(+) Tasty and versatile, it can be added to a wide range of meals to give it a kick! (-) I wish they sold the bottle sizes that they have in the restaurants!
Advantages: Creamy, thick, versatile Disadvantages: hard to find believe it or not

Well, this is a strange one - what can I write about mayonnaise? I did suggest this category a little while back, but totally forgot about it! Mayonnaise is one of those condiments you either love or hate isn't it? I never used to like it, favouring instead salad cream, now I've developed a passion for it and I can honestly say I've tried a whole host of brands. Hellmans, Asda, Vita d'or and so on. Nothing came close to Heinz (no not even Hellmans!).

~~~PACKAGING~~~
This is a basic but classic jar design, it is preodominantly clear in design to show contents and has a gold screw lid. The label is blue with a yellow border to contain the Heinz logo which is in blue and reads "HEINZ MAYONNAISE -finest quality ingredients est in 1869" It's nothing jazzy - but very recognisable.
The consistency of this mayonnaise is luxuriously thick, not like some cheap brands that can be a bit sloppy. Quite stiff in fact, and when I twist the lid it does smell a little like salad cream - but less potent. A bit onion like.
~~~TASTE?~~~
Gorgeous! A dollop of this on the side of your plate will transform a drab dinner into something a bit tastier. It's really creamy and thick and as well as being great with chips, try it with chickens dishes, mix it into your pasta sauce for a really creamy result. Another one to try is when you get to the last third of your mayo - squirt some tomato puree in, add a handful of sultanas, small spoonful of curry powder and some herbs - mix it all round, then add to a chicken salad.
I have Heinz mayo on my plate most meals in fact and can't get enough. It doesn't taste too strong either, some cheaper brands are truly awful (Coop especially -eugh) because they are too strong. Delicate flavour is what you get with this. I'm not sure how best to describe mayonnaise to you if you haven't tried it yet ... suffice to say it's main ingredients are egg yolks, vinegar and mustard. Keep in the fridge for no longer than 2 weeks to keep at it's best (upside down apparently keeps it fresher, don't ask)
~~~PRICE/AVAILABILITY~~~
This mayo is a bit shy, and isn't seen at all the places I shop. I can get it from Kwik Save, Walter Wilsons, and Safeway occaissionally. For 440g it is £1.30 in Kwik Save right now.
All in all, this is the best I have tried and I recommend it heartily!
Advantages: Creamy and luxurious Disadvantages: Packaging is a bit plain!
This is absolutely delicious. I can’t give it a cynical or bad review
There is no bad points to it. Its not too eggy, its not too tasteless…its just right.
Its got a creamy, luxurious side to it, that takes you away to another planet and carries you safely back down to earth again! There isn’t the words to describe this product, its just…amazing!
You can’t get enough of this stuff-and it goes with anything…from salad to chips. That’s the taste ... ...other mayonnaise brands with this packaging-but its ok. I do think it would be better in a squirt tube though. Apart from that…its perfect.
I recommend it to anyone, apart from if you are allergic to egg like my brother. In which case stay well away! Well done Heinz…once again you have risen above the rest to victory! ...
Advantages: Puts you of eating it Disadvantages: You have to eat something else to get rid of the taste
My wife in her infinite wisdom decide that it was time she lost a pound or two, not you understand because she needed to but because it is a thing women do.
So it had to be that I was presented with sandwiches part made of Tuna Mayonnaise style dressing with sweetcorn, which is part of the Heinz Weight Watched range of foods for my lunch at work. The Tuna is provided by John West Food Limited.
The can is easily recognisable, being predominately yellow and white in colour with a splash of blue and the name in red and blue. It is sold as part of a multi pack of three, each weighing in at 80g.
On opening the tin there is little or no smell of tuna. The mush inside, for want of a better description is off white, with a number of lumps of sweetcorn and offset with a riot of pale pink provided by the tuna chunks. It doesn?t look in ...
Quite recently I have taken to the taste of sweetcorn, and its phenomenal texture, so I was delighted when I came across the John West Weight Watchers Tuna Mayonnaise and Sweetcorn filler tubs in Asda. Purchasing them without a second thought, I was slightly curious at how it would turn out; I had never bought pre-made tuna mayo before!
I prepared my slices of bread, ready to make myself a sandwich (usually I go for brown bread, but there was only 50/50 left in the house). The can of tuna sat unopened on the bench. With my bread ready for its filling, I pulled back the ring-pull. Fortunately, this was not too difficult, and came off with ease.
Peering into the can, I was not too pleased with what I saw. The majority of what I was faced with seemed to be cloggy, gloopy mayonnaise, which had smeared its pale self all over the lid too ...
Advantages: Tastes great,very hot Disadvantages: None
indeed chilli but when i get some things which say they are "they don't" taste overly hot at all. This however did and it tasted lovely too. I was shocked when i first tasted it because it burnt my tongue a bit but it wasn't so warm that it was off putting either. I would definitely recommend this and i think it is the nicest mayonnaise yet! I also believe that it is nicer than Hellmans and Heinzmayonnaise. After tasting this i will definitely be trying the other flavours on offer as well. I like the bottle as well and i think it is very handy because it is easy to squeeze and you get exactly the amount that that you need. I think that the world would be a better place if all bottles were like this.
