Mr Heinz Has Taken A Wrong Turn!

Advantages: See Below!
Disadvantages: See Below!

I do tend to like Heinz as a brand and when I was in Safeway before Christmas I picket up what I thought was Heinz Spaghetti only realising when I got home that it was actually Spaghetti Hoops, nightmare I know but I figured as I do adore Spaghetti there would probably be no different, well much to my disappointment they were not of the same calibre.

I normally swear by Heinz, I particularly love their Tomato Soup and their Spaghetti, ...
...of course the easily recognisable Heinz 57 varieties logo in large red print, it comes with an easy to open pull back lid, so its easy to see how an idiot like me could have mistaken it for regular Spaghetti, they only difference being the word Hoops on the front of the can.

Upon peeling back the aluminium lid I was greeted with a smell of tomatoes, not as thick as the sauce with regular Spaghetti, it was at this point I realised my ... more

Advantages: cheap, easy to cook, great for kids
Disadvantages: cheaper in other brands, not enough in a can for adults

...available in other supermarkets. Because Heinz is a well respected brand name, it will be very easy to find. Although supermarkets self brands can be even more cheaper than Heinz, especially LIDL which will sell products at very competitive prices. Within the can, it’s very full when opened. It has a tomato sauce which is an orange-red sauce. It’s very runny bit with a little thick consistency to it. It smells quite like tomato and sweet. ...

Hoop-Hoop Hooray!

Advantages: Delicious, easy, warming
Disadvantages: umm...none that I can think of!

...product I am reviewing is Heinz Spaghetti Hoops in tomato sauce. I bought the 205g (small) can, but they are also available to buy in larger cans (400g, I think). The tins are a distinctive bright yellow - very cheery on a cold Autumn day :o) Spaghetti Hoops are like Baked Beans - a store-cupboard staple. Very quick and easy, comfortingly hot and tasty to eat, and satisfying too. Plus they have added vitamins. A small tin contains 205g and a delightfully ...
...watery tomato though, rich like Heinz tomato soup. I'm heating my spaghetti hoops by the traditional method of in a saucepan on the gas-hob, but they also micro-waveavable. By the time I have emptied the hoops into the saucepan, I'm feeling quite excited by my prospective meal. 205g is probably just about right as a medium portion. On this occasion, i'm eating them on their own (in a bowl a la soup!), but other favourite methods of serving are: ...

NEVER FORGETTI THE HOOPY SPAGHETTI.

Advantages: stimulates the taste buds, Only 226 kcal per 400g can, ring pull on lid for easy opening
Disadvantages: Like there could ever be a disadvantage.

Heinz Spaghetti Hoops, you gotta love em. Afterall they taste fantastic, smell fantastic, feel fantastic and they look incredible. they are a must for every kid or big kid in my case, i'm 19 and i don't think i'll ever grow out of eating my favourite food (hoops) ofcourse. I am a very fussy eater, but this is one food i just cant get enough of, i eat about 5 cans of it per week on average, once i even had it for dinner and tea three days on the ...
...You can have it on its own, with chips, or toast, or new potatoes, or on top of cheese on toast, on a baked potato, with a fry up, over sausages, waffles pretty much anything you can imagine. If ou think they are unhealthy, think again they have only 226 kcal in a 400g can, which is less than baked beans and stuff, it has 7.4g protein per can, and only 0.8g fat per can. It is also suitable for vegetarians, and has NO artificial colours, preservatives, ...

Review of Heinz Spaghetti Hoops in Tomato Sauce

Needs more hoops.

Advantages: Really easy to cook.
Disadvantages: Not many rings, mainly tomato liquid.

...sure that I had bought Heinz and not a different brand. The tomato sauce was really runny, not the thick, rick juice that I remember. The hoops were few and far between, and seemed to be engulfed in the juice. Thinking, well maybe something happened during the heating process, I put them in the microwave, and cooked them on the recommended time for my wattage. This actually made the juice worse, and became unbelievably runnier. The smell wasn't at ...
...is even more disappointing as Heinz can make delicious tomato sauce, but have seriously let the company down with these horrid hoops. In future, I will stick to pasta and tomato products that I have cooked myself, and avoid these instant things, as they are a complete waste of money. I have very generously given this one star, as without a star I cannot submit the review. However, there should be no stars. ...

happiness in a hoop.............

Advantages: sometimes you gotta have instant stodge
Disadvantages: some may regard as junk food

...are all too tempting sometimes. heinz spagetti hoops are convinient. they come in a tin a and just require warming up before they are consumed (come tothink of it, you could actually eat them cold if you wanted to it wouldnt do you any harm.when i open the tin i notice how perfectly formed the lil hoops are, something that isnt always the case shouldyou purchase a cheaper brand of hoop.the pasta hoops are very soft, like overcooked pasta which i ...
...well. i would conclude that heinz hoops are a good cupboard staple and wont ruin a healthy diet in modaration..if you dont like to feed the fat cats tho, therear many brands of hoop and im not wholly convincedthat this top brand is worth paying the extra money for.having wrote this review i am hungry again ! hmm maybe another disadvantaage is they dont fill you for very long, or maybe that just appplies to greedy people like myself..thanks for reading ...

Makes rude words with your food.

Advantages: Fun food for your children
Disadvantages: rude words can be made out of the letters

warned though the tomato sauce can make them messy leaving pink faces and bibs, your children will probably need cleaning after eating Alphabetti spaghetti. As you child reaches the age to recognise letters he/she will enjoy making words out of their dinner of alphabetti spaghetti. So a good extra edible tool to help letter recognition. There seemed to be good mixtures of letters in the meal we had with this spaghetti. Heinz Alpabetti spaghetti costs 33p per 200g, 44p per 400g Heinz spaghetti hoops and normal spaghetti in tomato sauce cost 21p to 32p per 200g tin at tesco. So why not relive your childhood and buy some see if you can spell your name  ...

Five A Day The Easy Way ? The Secret's In The Sauce !!!

Advantages: A classic tasty product re-invented. A great way to get reluctant eaters to eat vegetables.
Disadvantages: None at all, this product is a work of genius !!!

sneakily hiding and peeping out from behind the Heinz logo) !!! They cost around 50p per tin and my own child gets two meals from each tin (which in my opinion is great value for money). He absolutely loves them too and as a parent I know that despite no "greens" being present in his dish he is eating a very healthy meal with the right balance of ingredients and more importantly a portion of healthy vegetables. ~~~ THE SECRET IS IN THE SAUCE ~~~ Heinz Hidden Veg Beanz and Hoops may look (and taste) like the Heinz baked beans and spaghetti hoops you may have eaten in the past. Even the tomato sauce has the same taste and texture. However, it is within this tomato sauce that Heinz has actually added their "hidden veg". The tomato sauce is a secret blend of tomatoes, carrots, red peppers, parsnips and courgette ... all healthy ...
