Versatile vitamin C

Advantages: Vitamin C is a useful everyday vitamin to take, even if you use a synthetic version
Disadvantages: None

Vitamin C is more commonly known as ascorbic acid, because it cannot be stored in your body for any length of time its essential that you have an intake of Vitamin C daily. There are many companies that produce their own version of the vitamin but I feel that Boots the chemist offer good value for money with their chewable version. Boots have packaged this product in a silver grey plastic container and the label is orange and white. The carton has a screw top that has been adjusted to make it difficult for children to open. Each container holds fifty 1000mg orange flavour chewable tablets. The tablets cost £4.39 for fifty, which works out at just 8p for a daily dose. If you use your Boots Advantage card you will get 16 points for this purchase. Boots chewable Vitamin C tablets are fine for children aged 12 and above and adults. They ...

The Power of Vitamin C!

Advantages: Wholesome ingredients
Disadvantages: Irritated my skin, peculiar after-odour

I was lucky enough to win a competition, and won a hamper of Body Shop products, which included SPF 15 Vitamin C Moisturiser. I wouldn't normally buy this product, as it is a bit dear for me - my usual limit is about £5 for a product, but I think this is about £9 for a tube. As it was a bit more expensive, I had high hopes! It comes in a bright orange tube - which suits the product perfectly, as it immediately made me think of freshly squeezed oranges - and vitamin C. The tube is a squeezy tube - like toothpaste - but with a screw top cap - which I think is a bit better than the pump-action bottles than many moisturisers come in (I never manage to get the dregs out of those!). The vitamin C range of skincare all comes in orange bottles/jars etc - which is good - as they are colour coded, it's easy to find them in the shop ...

C Boost!

Advantages: A great Vitamin product, easy to take, effective and cheap!
Disadvantages: Lid a bit hard to open on first go.

Review of Tesco Effervescent Vitamin C. It?s the winter! And yes it?s inevitable that you or someone you know in the family will probably catch a cold have a virus, and let?s face it-with all that running around and partying we always do during the festive season we need to keep ourselves fit & healthy! I am very conscious of mine and my husband?s health and like us to eat healthy and be fit. With busy lifestyles this is of course easier said than done. I myself like taking vitamin supplements as a boost. I was advised by a health trainer to take Fish Oil supplements (being a woman), Echinacea for those times when you don?t feel that great, and Vitamin C for an immune system boost(especially at this time of year). I take a Fish oil supplement daily and an Echinacea or Vitamin C Effervescent tablet once a week. You can of course take ...
