I had a voucher for money off Toni&Guy products in Boots so I picked this product up. It's usually about £6.99, but it's on offer along with other Toni&Guy products at 3 for £10 (Aug '09). What is it? Toni&Guy Finishing Shine Spray for sparkling shine is a finishing spray which adds a bit of shine to sleek, straight styles. It comes in an 100ml spray bottle, which is clear so you can see the clear liquid within. It also has a silver pull of top. On the front it has the name of the product, sideyways of course. And on the back it has the directions, salon tips, warnings and the list of ingredients. Ingredients Alcohol denat, cyclopentasiloxane, cyclohexasilixane, phenyl trimethicone, parfum, dipropylene glycol, butylphenyl methylpropional, hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexenecarboxaldehyde, hydroxycitronellal, linalool ...

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Advantages: High gloss professional finish
Disadvantages: doesn't stop chipping but then, what does?

Those of you who have read any of my beauty product reviews might remember that many of them cite a make up guru - ie: mother. Well here she is again! The mother does nails as part of her beauty room business, and has used Seche Vite on clients and for personal use for years. She bought it from Sally's hair and beauty supplies but it is widely availabe over the internet - I bought mine from ebay at just under £6 per bottle (plus postage) for a 0.5oz bottle. Basically, the formula penetrates through the nail polish to the base coat forming a single solid coating over the nail plate for a very durable finish. The official blurb is that its guaranteed not to yellow which I have indeed found to be true. It also says it absolutely will not chip - sadly I have NEVER found a product that eliminates chipping, and seche vite, wonderful ...

The GHD Fixation spray - Firm Hold Is presented to me in a 150ml brown bottle, the usual looking packaging that GHD products are sold in and on the front of the bottle is the GHD Logo and the lid is easy to pull off and remove leaving a nozzle which you use to distribute the lotion inside. The GHD Fixation spray works like a hairspray in many respects in that when it is sprayed it produces a light mist which oddly enough is not in anyway sticky, it is like applying water to your hair only it dries super fast and doesn't leave any sticky residue or build up like you sometimes get with hairspray where when you use a little too much your hair goes ...
