Having seen the new advert for Hellman's Light I thought I would put it to the test! I love mayo on chips, my boyfriend will eat it on anything but if its not dutch mayonnaise it has to be Hellman's. In the interest of losing weight and not feeling so guilty everytime you open the fridge I decided to downgrade everything to the low-fat version, including the mayo much to Matt's disgust. After swearing blind he wouldn't taste the difference "it says so on the advert!" we had a blind taste test and the difference was huge! I thought light version was slightly sweeter than the original and it has more of a set consistency than creamy. The flavour is more artificial too. If you love your mayo I don't think you will be fooled however if it is on sandwiches you probably won't be able to tell so much. Buy the orginal and use less is my advice

I actually prefer the light version but nothing is nicer than Kraft's Miracle Whip if you asked me...
