If you loved reading comic books as a child or the photo-story magazines as a teenager then Hello magazine is just that but for adults. It is ritzy, glitzy, full of minor royalty, showbiz types and the good old jet set. With the large photo format and the editorial tucked away at the bottom of the page the layout is very reminiscent of children's comics and, like a comic, it requires no intellectual input to "read".
The people featured and the type of life they lead is a zillion miles away from my life and for that reason I find it totally fascinating and a great escape from everyday life.
Although I have never bought a copy of Hello if I happen to come across one somewhere I find it totally absorbing and great fun.
