    Personally, this is definatly not one of Shakespeare's best plays. However it does comply with the rest of his history plays. It was written for Elizabeth 1 (henry VIII's daughter) so a lot of the correct detail has been omitted. I was slightly dissapointed when the real Anne Boleyn did not shine through. She actually takes very little part in the play, although the lines that she does speak are witty and intelligent. The court scenes seem as though they could actually stand against the truth and the battle over religion shines through fantasically. I enjoyed studying the book, but would ... more
