Advantages: smells gorgeous for days Disadvantages: Can be a bit pricy in some stores
ClairolHerbalEssences
I was shopping in Safeway the other day and I needed to buy some more shampoo. I have previously used different brands and I wanted to buy the dove shampoo, but they didn?t have any left. So I started looking for another brand.
I noticed Clairolherbalessences because of the bottle. It comes in a 250ml bottle with clear packaging and has a lovely picture of a bunch of roses on the back, which you can see through the pink, coloured content. Clairol use 25% post consumer recycled plastic for their bottles and they?re also recyclable so it helps save the environment too. It costs £2.19 but when I looked closer, it was on a ?buy one get one free? offer so I got the conditioner to go with it as well. What a bargain!!!!!!

Advantages: Doesn't smell chemically, leaves hair soft Disadvantages: Doesn't take to red hair very well
the L'Oreal higlighting and all over colour kit and was impressed with the results, but was tempted to HerbalEssence because it seemed more 'natural'. The herbalessence dye takes really well to the already dyed hair, but my red roots remained more red than the rest of my hair, and some didn't take to the colour at all. Obviously for red hair, the stronger chemicals are needed to create the desired results. But, for those of you blessed with blonde or brunette hair, this product would be ideal for premanently lightening or darkening your natural colour, without the need for harsher chemicals. The conditioner lasts for about 6 weeks, and it is then that the colour starts to grow out and loose some of its shine ...
Advantages: Smells lovely, does what it says Disadvantages: Can't think of any
I've been using HerbalEssences for a while, and I will be continuing to use this brand of shampoo and conditioner, mainly because it does what it's says it will, and the smells are divine. Currently, HerbalEssences are promoting their new, refurbished design, and I have to say I was delighted when I found out you could get a free, re-designed bottle of HerbalEssences along side the original! My opinion of the new design is that it looks sophisticated, professional, and is perfect for first time users - but if you're like me and have been using HerbalEssences with the familiarly known branding for quite a few years, it will take a lot of time getting used to!
Clairol created HerbalEssences in the 1960s, aiming to appeal at people particularly interested in organic buys, especially since the hippy craze started around that time ...
