I have long hair, it goes down to mid-back. It has also been coloured once, a few weeks before I started using this shampoo and it's conditioner. My hair is wavy, but not enough to be considered 'curly'. I usually straighten my hair, but I decided for once to try maintaining my waves instead, and thought this conditioner and its shampoo could help that.

~ - ~ Price ~ - ~ I was on holiday in the US when I bought this product so I don't actually know the price. At a guess, it would probably be like all the other Herbal Essences products and around £3.99 for 400ml. Shops often have 'buy one get one free' offers on this kind of products as well. (Often this is a determining factor in which I buy!)
~ - ~ Bottles ~ - ~ This conditioner and it's shampoo are part of the 'new' Herbal Essences range, and as such has a new look to go with it. Although different to the old look, I still like the new one, but it doesn't seem to fit with Herbal Essences so well - there are no pictures of the fruity ingredients etc on these new bottles, just words and a weird motif thing.
The conditioner bottle also has a strange design on the front of the bottle. It looks almost like a drawing from a Year 7 science class of the cells inside a plant!
The bottles I have are 355ml and they are designed to fit together in a wave shape (see picture). The shampoo has the opening at the top, while the conditioner has it at the bottom. The conditioner bottle is pale purple with the product inside being a similar color. (I could be honest and say that the purple color was actually a big part in making me buy this product……….)
The conditioner bottle is not transparent so you cannot see the product inside. If you hold it up to the light, you can just about see how much product is left in the bottle.
The conditioner bottles both have a little bit of 'trivia' on the back in the form of 'HerbalHead Games'. You have to have both the conditioner and it's shampoo to read the answer to the corresponding question.
Conditioner: What do almost half of all women admit doing to their significant other? Answer from Shampoo: Throwing a shoe at him
~ - ~ Smell ~ - ~ Like the shampoo, the smell of this conditioner doesn't measure up to the usual Herbal Essences level. It doesn't stay around on your hair once it's washed and mostly it just has a soapy smell. As soon as it is washed out, the smell is hardly noticeable anymore.
~ - ~ Instructions ~ - ~ Like most conditioners, this tells you what to do with it …
"USE ME: massage my creaminess in. Fee it hug your curves. Rinse me out. Got spring fever yet?"
~ - ~ Wash Out Easily? ~ - ~ I found you have to use quite a lot of conditioner to ensure my whole hair was covered, but then it did wash out easily. If you leave it for too long before washing out (more than a minute or so) then it does start to get harder to wash out as it sets solid.
~ - ~ Condition of hair ~ - ~ This conditioner made my wet hair feel very soft and it was relatively easy to run fingers through at this point. Although, too much running of fingers through it did make it more tangled and feel less nice. The smell of the conditioner seemed to have washed out with the bubbles as my hair didn't seem to smell of anything except clean hair!
Once drier, the hair is of an okay condition, but, again, it doesn't measure up to what I would expect from a Herbal Essences product. My mediocre waves were more defined and regular, and my hair did feel somewhat smooth and sleek. This said, my hair wasn't as healthy feeling as other Herbal products have left it previously, and it wasn't all that shiny. The end result is not as soft as other Herbal Essences products have been known to leave it.
I found my hair needed washing again the very next day as it got greasy very quickly using this product. This is not usual for my hair as, when using other shampoos, I can often go three or four days before it gets to that point.
~ - ~ Use It Again? ~ - ~ I probably wouldn't use this product again, but that only partially a reflection of the product itself. After the bottles I currently have a used up, I intend to go back to 'straightening' my hair and using conditioners that do this, as I prefer my hair straight to wavy.
The conditioner and its shampoo, produced okay results. These results are not on a level that I have seen before with Herbal Essences. The hair does not feel as healthy as I am used to with Herbal products and is not as shiny. One of the things I like about Herbal Essences the most is the way their products smell and the way the smell stays around, this product had neither of these qualities.

Review of Clairol Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Conditioner
Advantages: works reasonably well Disadvantages: bit runny
I have a fine crop of thick hair, it tangles easily, takes ages to dry and is a swine to wash. I am so blessed. I've trawled through a wide range of conditioners which are suppossed to deal or help with hair which can get quite dry, most of them have appeared to be just a massive con or a hit and miss product. So far Herbal Essences Totally Twisted has done the most improvement for it. The actual idea behind this is that it's ideal for those people ... ...moisture, eases frizz and keep spirals sleek' being the basic concept. I have absoloutly no idea what they were banging on about-all I wanted was a half decent conditioner. Which I suppose is what you get. The conditioner I have contains about 330ml of the stuff and cost me £2.79 from Boots. All told that isn't too bad but you could probably get it cheaper from Superdrug or maybe a supermarket. It's a nice sized bottle and has a slight wave in it. ...
