X wing alliance is a great game, it is basically a vast improvement on the glitch-filled Xwing vs. Tie Fighter Game where you often froze for 5 mins. X wing alliance takes you out of the study (where my pc is) and straight into the star wars universe at the helm of dozens of rebel and imperial ships. Each cockpit is slightly different to each other and each space craft has its on shield and weapon configuration from the crap cloak shape fighter to the god-like TIE DEFENDER. The graphics are quite good for a game that is almost 2 years old and the levels are well thought out.

...Turns out haze is a lot meaner then we'd imagined. The realization comes while sat in a dropship listening to the colonel. kurts-like rebel leader called Skincoat during our induction into his promise Hand faction. He says, "There was a sergeant, like you, and he took a baby and he bit its bottom lip clean off, like he was eating an apple. And then he threw it onto the fire." Erm... right. And worse then words are the gestures, Skincoats hand cradling an imaginary infant and wrenching it away from from his tearing teeth.
A quick recap for the uninitiated: the game is set during a war between the sinister mantel Corporation and the aforementioned rebel group, Promise Hand. While the rebels are makeshift band of skirmishers, the Mantel troopers fight under the influence of Nectar a drug which numbs their battlefield perception - screams...
