Company of Heroes is a WWII based squad sized battle game with some innovative twists on the normal strategy genre.
The game revolves around the capture of points on the map which give you one of three types of resource (ammo, manpower and fuel). Thes reources can then be used to buy troops and upgrades at your base.
The game follows an escalation theme where you start out with engineers and basic soldiers and end up with powerful tanks.
So far so normal, however the following really make the game stand out from the crowd.
1. The cover system and ability to destroy any scenery on the map with the appropriate weaponry. This is crucial and you willl really see the difference the first time two equally powered groups face off but one has higher ground and is behind a wall.

Company of Heroes the Strategy PC game from THQ the makers of the award winning Dawn of war.
This game being of the Strategy Genre will be familiar to those interested in that particular genre and the game play and set up will be easy to pick up quickly, even more so will those players of Dawn of war as it is very similar in the way that it plays.
Graphics:
The graphics are what you would expect of a game of this age and type and increases with the power of the PC system you own as you increase the settings. There are no noticeably glitches and it runs smoothly.

The original Motorstorm is one of the best games I had played for the PS3, so I had no hesitation in buying Pacific Rift. But, I didn't immediately start playing it, I had it for around 3 months before I first played it and from then on I was hooked.
The main change that has been made is the introduction of new types of tracks. Air, Fire, Water and Earth. The Air zone has lots of big jumps and is probably my afvourite. The Fire zone is surrounded in molten lava ad makes the boost heat up a lot quick, with the Water zone doing the opposite - cooling down your booster. And finally the Earth zone which has very few jumps. I didn't think these new "Zones" made much of a difference to the game.
The other main change is that the game has moved away form every track being full of dull grey, brownish colours. As the front cover shows ...
