Advantages: Great pacing, amazing character development, surreal setting (almost Noir) Disadvantages: It will end once you have read it
First off let me point out that if you are not into Warhammer or Sci-Fi then this isnt going to make you a die hard fan. But if you do happen to fall into either of those two rest assured this is one awesome book. We have a few brooding psychological parts, plenty of gore and violence and dare I say a little social commentary masked as filler? YES I DO. Sadly I cant get too much into the story as well, that would ruin it for you, and we dont want that now do we. Its well written, keeps a very good pace through out and at no point did I tire of the book. In fact I read it all in just over a day, as I was unable to put it down.. Anyone that has heard of Dan Abnett knows that even at his worst, its an enjoyable book, and this is not his worst. ...
Advantages: Interesting concept Disadvantages: Poor execution, hard to control, poor sound
Warhammer40,000 Squad Commander is a military game for the Nintendo DS. You fight against other armies by moving your troops and fighting, working through the various missions in the game.
The game is turn based and I found the game play easy to pick up and start playing the game. In essence the point of the game is to move your armies a certain number of positions, then make fighting decisions about what to do with those armies, and then you let the computer respond with its move. This whole process is controlled by action points, which you can either use to move or fight.
Graphics wise, I wasn't impressed with the game. The second screen of the Nintendo DS should have been a positive feature for this game, but it is in my view wasted with a different to comprehend map feature. There are times where it isn't possible to really see ...
Advantages: Easier to get to grips with, less time consuming Disadvantages: Outdated graphics and hardly anyone plays online anymore
Warhammer has been around for decades, starting out as a small studio that designed and produced small metal miniatures for tabletop wargaming and roleplaying games - they have grown to become a nationwide company that remains faithful in its production of these highly detailed miniatures.
Their most recent innovation has been the "Dawn of War" series of videogames, the latest being Soulstorm. Although each and every successor has bolstered its appeal with better graphics and effects, most are only replayable because of its online multiplayer ability. The original Dawn of War has alot more to offer than the successors for its single player longevity.
Instead of a repetitive "sandbox" campaign that gets boring after the first completion, the original Dawn of War actually followed a story line - each battle you wage is connected to ...
