HP DRAM 4 GB PC2-5300

Advantages: Very Upgradable, Cheaply Priced, Very Reliable.
Disadvantages: The nVidia 7500LE is by no means an efficent card, No front case fan.

...I have found the Compaq SR2125UK a very powerful machine, I bought it as a secondary machine from PCWorld back in May 2007. When I first bought it I didn't realise it's full potential of what it's very upgradable motherboard can have. It's processor which comes shipped with it is an Intel Pentium D 915 which is around one of the first Dual Core processors around and is now starting to age a little, but this machine will happily take any Intel Core 2 Duo's. It'll also take up to 4GB of PC5300 DDR2 RAM and any PCIe x16 graphic card (with a PSU upgrade). So onto my first experience with this Compaq, after it had been delivered in a massive 4x4x4 foot box I was at first a little dissapointed to find a Micro ATX tower (smaller size computer) as alot of these towers which I've had experiences with have had cooling problems. Advantages: Remote, Bright and Sharp Screen, Lightweight, Large Hardrive
Disadvantages: 1GB Ram, Only 3 USB Ports, Webcam Incompatability with Vista

...that the lid slams shut to secure closing. HP includes 3 USB ports, including an ExpressCard slot and a 5-in-1 card reader. A remote control is included to allow controlling of power, volume, DVD controls etc allowing you to watch a movie in bed and turn the machine off without getting up. This is a useful feature. Performance from the Intel Core 2 Duo T5300 with 1GB of RAM is satisfactory, but struggles with Vista\'s aero interface. The laptop is a compact size, comparible with all 15.4" models meaning its easily transportable. I paid £699.99 for this product and all in all I am pleased with the Notebook. ...The HP dx2300 has a 1.8ghz processor and has two 512mb memory chips which makes the overall RAM over 1gb with a possible expansion up to 4gb. The hard drive is a decent size as well as it has 80gb of space. The operating system is windows xp which is ok but won't be able to keep up with vista soon! It also comes with a one year warranty.
