Advantages Great features, especially the CD printing if that's what you want.
Disadvantages Quite noisy at times.
I've been delighted with my C5280 printer.
It's quite compact and fits nicely in any home environment and the print quality and feature set is excellent.First of all, I'll talk about my favourite features.
CD Printing. The first is the ability to print onto CD / DVD / Blu-Ray discs with an inkjet coating. This is so much better than using labels or writing on the discs. You do this via a special caddy system that pulls down from the top of the printer and using the disc caddy that slots into the bottom of the printer when not in use.
Just remember to leave a little space behind the printer as the caddy needs a few inches to travel out of the rear before going back in to print.Memory card printing.
I also like the memory card slots for easy printing of photos without having to scan them. You can use photo sized paper straight into the printer for professional photo print without edges. It also can print A4 borderless as well. One Touch Copying.
I also like the ease at which you can just copy a document or picture by a one touch scan/print button - either in black and white or full colour. The reproduction is excellent and print speed fairly rapid. This is also great for copying when your computer is turned off. The kids can also copy homework or photo's etc without any trouble at all.The information screen.
The printer features a great little LCD screen that acts as a user interface and also offers information / the status of the printer.Overall.
A solid performer and reliable. You can expect this printer to last a while. It's well built. The only down side to this printer is the noise of the scanner. It really does sound as though it's going to break each time it's used! - however that's just a minor issue.
Overall, it's not the quietest of printers on any of its functions but that doesn't bother me. If a very, very quiet printer is what you demand, then try before you buy to ensure it fits the bill.
