I definitely love my Hewlett-Packard F2290 All-in-One all-in-one printer. It has the features of a printer, scanner and copier. The triple function of this device is exceptional.
As a Printer
Hewlett-Packard F2290 All-in-One is a great printer I must say. It provides high-quality results and it prints quick and fast with its maximum orienting resolution of up to 1200 dpi (mono) or up to 4800 x 1200 dpi (colour). It has great speed and prints up to 20 pages in every minute in black and prints 14 pages in per minute in colour and uses HP Thermal Inkjet technology. I am impressed with its printing ability. It loads up to 100 sheets input of papers and has 50 sheets output. It can also load 10 envelopes as well as thick glossy photo papers and postcards
Printing with Hewlett-Packard F2290 All-in-One creates a little sound but it is not a sound coming from the printer itself. It is due to the friction of the moving paper against the printer and it is not really a big issue for me. Hewlett-Packard F2290 All-in-One delivers excellent prints.
As a Scanner
Hewlett-Packard F2290 All-in-One has a scanner feature. It uses CIS Scan Element. It delivers superb scanning result and I love how it captures even the smallest details from its scanned origin. If I use the same type of paper in scanning and print it, I could hardly tell the difference between the original and the scanned one. Hewlett-Packard F2290 All-in-One scans excellently with its 1200 x 2400 dpi scanning resolution with 19200 interpolated resolution and has a nice flatbed scanner. Even 3-D objects have great scanning results.
As a Copier
Hewlett-Packard F2290 All-in-One is an excellent copier. It copies even the tiniest detail of a document or photo, be it black and white or in colour. I love the 200% maximum document enlargement and the 25% reduction feature that makes me adjust my copying job easier. It is an excellent copier with great features that my old printers didn't have.
Slight problem I encountered
I panicked the first time I experienced paper jam with this printer. The printer just stopped printing and I got this ‘paper jam’ message on my PC monitor. I was thankful that the support website is available in the internet. That was resolved by removing any loose paper from the input tray through the rear access door that can be removed easily. Removing any loose paper from the front of the input tray can cause damage to the print mechanism.
Verdict
I am impressed with how Hp combined the features of a printer, scanner and copier in one lightweight and compact device. I can't imagine how much would it cost me if I purchase separate printer, scanner and a copier which actually costs a fortune that I'd rather run to a nearby copier center for my photocopying needs. I recently scanned some old family photos, used Adobe Photoshop to edit them, printed them and kept them in a large photo album. I just used the copier for some photos that didn't need editing and directly printed them.
Although the printer creates a little sound due to the friction of the moving paper against the printer, it is really not a big deal. Most high-end Hewlett-Packard printers create the same sound as far as I know.
This all-in-one printer delivers high-quality images whether in printing, scanning or photocopying.
