...When you need large disk capacity, bulletproof performance and reliability in your servers, you cant really go wrong with the Hewlett Packard Ultra320 146.bGb Scsi harddrives.
When you are running RAID5 on a server and need lots of disks to add to the array, these meaty old disk are a surefire winner every time. Whats more they are in the standard 3.5 inch size and can fit in almost all server applications that require Ultra320 disks.
We have a mixture of G4 and G5 Hewlett packard servers here at work and these drives suit the G4 style servers. The have an easy access and hot swap caddy to contain them which makes swapping the drives much easier should you need to as well as the initial install.
Installation. You cannot get simpler. Open the box. Slide the Harddrive into the allocated bay in your server until you feel...

Advantages: decent pc, good RAM Disadvantages: none
...The HP dx2300 has a 1.8ghz processor and has two 512mb memory chips which makes the overall RAM over 1gb with a possible expansion up to 4gb. The harddrive is a decent size as well as it has 80gb of space. The operating system is windows xp which is ok but won't be able to keep up with vista soon! It also comes with a one year warranty. The HP dx2300 is an ideal business class desktop that is full-featured and value-priced. Featuring the power of an Intel processor and ample RAM, the dx2300 gives you all the strength you need to power through the toughest applications. Advantages: sleak design and everything else mentioned above! Disadvantages: no monitor included
...I couldn't find this computer in the list of compaqs so i thought id write about the Compaq - Ipaq under this heading! hope you don't mind!
The ipaq is a long-term stuff favourite, initially i am seduced by its looks and design...metalic surface and its undoubtable un-PC curves, but it also paqs a ferocious punch under its trendy exteriour; The price does not include a monitor but considering you get a PIII 500 with 128MB RAM and 8GBharddrive, at £580 its an absolute bargain any way. And when you can buy a compaq 15" monitor at £120, you really can't complain!...
