Advantages: light, durable, fast Disadvantages: none
...When I bought this or only 699 pounds brand new, I knew it was a bargain. With a memory of 30gb, speed 1.2 ghz and 256mb ram, dvd drive, it was more that I required for my college studies. However, as www. microwarehouse.co.uk had it on special offer, 699 exc VAT (835 pounds inc VAT and delivery) was a price too good to resist. Besides, should I wish to buy a new laptop, I would probably pay close to the same amount for a model of a much less well established make and of much less advanced configuration.
Well, what should I say about this laptop? Appearance wise, it is of a slim, black design, which is professional looking unlike some bulkier models. Advantages: Very fast, stable and easy to install Disadvantages: not many, its SRAM, so you cant go wrong
...Coming with a one year warranty, I thought that some new SRAM, from Compaq, would not be a bad buy. I brought it from Amazon, for about £29.99.
With 1MBL2 cache, this was very fast indeed, and would be much better than my existing 512KB of SRAM. With a one year guarantee included, you cant really go working , not that it did at all, with very good customer support for all their products, Compaq have won the support of me.
When I tried this out, with windows xp home edition, on an already fast computer, it made the processor run things much faster, I could tell the difference straight away.
Installing this was very easy, well, as easy as any other SRAM would be to install.
I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to make their computer run faster with more stability and at a cheap cost as well.
10/10 Compaq...
