Advantages: Beautiful large screen, fast processor, Radeon 9200 Graphics Chip, Nice Loud Speakers, wonderful keyboard, USB 2.0 for faster transfer, large Harddisk, Touchpad Off switch, WiFi, SD card reader. Disadvantages: Battery Life. Power cord placement, Only one pc card slot, Unavailability of bluetooth internal chip.
...on the large screen. DVD's also run beautifully, especially those shot in Wide Screen. The sound from the internal speakers is fine for a laptop, and more than enough to enjoy a film or two, however when I plugged a simple 2.1 config speaker system in and played Freelancer, the whole room shook. Wow! The X1000 multimedia capabilities really are incredible.
The only gripes I have with this computer are on the subject of power supply. The battery on my machine does NOT last for the advertised 5 hours. I have never managed to squeeze more than 3 hours of use from my machine, even with all the power saving functions turned on, WiFi off, the processer running at 500 mhz and the screen on the darkest setting. This isn't a major issue though and is only to be expected from a machine of this size and power. Most machines half this size only run a 3 hour...

...HP Pavilion Media Center tx1250ea is a great laptop and is recommended for home use. The dimensions of this laptop are (WxDxH) 30.6cm x 22.4cm x 3.9cm. The weight of this laptop is 1.9kg and therefore is very light and easy for portable use. The built in devices include stereo speakers, wireless LAN aerial and a bluetooth aerial. The processor is AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile technology TL-56 ( Dual-Core ). The cache memory is 1mb - l2 cache. The RAM on this laptop is great as it has a whopping 1gb of it. The hard drive is an amazing 120gb which is perfect for storing almost anything! The display is 12.1" TFT active matrix 1280 x 800 (WXGA). The operating system is windows vista home premium. I would definately recommend this laptop to anyone who is looking for a fast reliable laptop!...
