HP packaging

...This is another package from Hewlett Packard which at the time when bought out was reasonable priced. Nowadays you can pickup a package like this between £100 and £250 depending on any upgrades. Usually the processor is around 600mhz and can be upgraded to around 1000mhz. The only problem with this machine is of the L2 cache installed on the main board. The more L2 cache the quicker and easier the processor can handle information. The maximum memory my machine could take was 512mb but not sure on the higher spec machines. My machine came with a scrolling mouse which many machines didn't have. All machines that i knew of came with Windows 98 but this can be wiped and Windows 2000 or even XP can easily be installed with 128mb memory. ...In the box you get: a hp v72 17 inch (16 visible) colour monitor a pair of harmon/kardon active speakers. Installation: The monitor once out of the box and on your desk is easy to get running, plug the blue connector into your PC and away you go. I use this monitor with Windows XP so I had no problems using it as the drivers are loaded into XP. For Windows 98/95/ME you can use the CD (supplied) to configure the monitor properly. The speakers were the same plug and play no CD required for Windows 98/95/ME just power up. The Quality: The picture quality of the monitor is very good, the image is crisp and clear and the screen is nice and big, the monitor supports high resolutions of upto 1290x1024 with upto an 85 hertz rate for less fickering. The best resolution I find is 1024x768 or the writing is so small you cant read it... Read review

...is easy-to-use and does not take more than 7 minutes to install. Mac users are also able to install this printer, so click on the desktop icon when disk is inserted and follow instructions. The HP 9800D is USB/Cable enabled. Depending on your computer processor speeds you may have to restart your computer for the computer to access the new printer hardware utility. A small printer icon should appear at the foot of your toolbar. This will be activated when prompted. Make sure that the black and colour ink cartridges that you are using are compatible with this type of printer brand. A list is evident on all cartridge packages. The packaging will list the HP Deskjet 9800D if compatible. Please note that the cartridges will have to be changed or swapped more frequently than a standard printer.
