HP parallel cable - 2 m

Advantages: Compact Size, Durability, Speed
Disadvantages: HP Support, Discontinued...

...is still wired connected, I hope it was wireless, but its not. Just for fun I wrote the next section about this cable… -- IEEE-1284, what is that?! I wasn’t going to write this section in the first place, but it I thought it’s funny to write a total section about this cable. Anyway, this is the cable that connects the printer with the computer through the parallel port. I included a picture of the cable so you can get the picture of it. Anyway you must get this cable to be able to connect your printer to your PC, it’s around £ 7.25 in the market, but all depends on its length and its brand. Advantages: Reliable, stylish, excellent connectivity
Disadvantages: More RAM would improve performance, as would a dedicated graphics card

...USB cable. (3) Connectivity - good - 4 USB ports, Modem, Ethernet, Firewire, (PCMCIA, Cardbus => both for adding additional, compact hardware if you feel the need), VGA out, Audio out and in - what more could you want really? Perhaps a parallel printer port - but these are being phased out in favour of USB anyway. (4) Mouse touchpad with 2 buttons underneath - excellent - sensitive and responds accurately to movement - for all those still using desktop mice - yes, the touchpad on laptops is a bit slower to use in my opinion, but you do improve at using it quite quickly. (5) Keyboad is OK - not very loud when tapping away - great for time in the library etc. Does have a number pad - it is overlayed over the letter keys - quite useful actually if your busy with spreadsheets. Advantages: Low price- or should be by now.

.... Running time depends on many factors with any Laptop battery, the AMD Power Now system appears to help though. This hardware/ software combination allows the CPU to step-down power output when demand is low and therefore saves battery power, in theory. In practice I get between 1.5 to 2 hours from my battery, which is acceptable for the way, I use my machine. The XE2 comes with a charger/ mains supply, as you would expect, it is also multi voltage, 100-240 volts 50-60 hz so with a suitable socket adaptor should work in any country. Reading between the lines I believe the modem is also multi-national capable, but would need to confirm this with HP. A modem cable is also included in the box. <br>So, how does it all fit together?
