The battery-powered infrared printer is a revolutionary companion for your new calculator. Because it operates with an invisible infrared beam, no cord is necessary to connect it to the calculator. Producing hard copies in the field or in your office could not be easier. And this improved version offers easier-to-read output and automatic shutoff for extended battery life. Operation of the infrared printer is easy, too. Simply aim your calculator at the printer (from up to 18 inches away), send print instructions and you get a neat, clean copy of your calculations. You can print a complete record of your work, or select and print only what you need. Just four AA alkaline batteries give the infrared printer go-anywhere portability. Or to extend battery life, plug in the optional ac/dc adapter. This printer comes with four AA alkaline batteries, one roll of printer paper and User’s Guide.
Advantages: THREE functions all for one technology / good value for money for all THREE functions Disadvantages: The COPY function gives average results. Ink cartridges are rapidly used up in premium photos

THE HEWLETT PACKARD TECHNOLOGIES: HP DESKJET F380
The HP Collection - Part I
Author: DJprimo

INTRODUCTIO N
Hewlett Packardprinters, have become my most convenient and commonly used brands of printing technology for personal use. These particular brands have also evolved to become my favourite choice too. After I abandoned my dusty and NOISY, old 'Epson Stylus' printer in 2000 (due to mediocre print quality and broken parts), I decided to try out the HP range for daily, personal printing (i.e. colourful diagrams, essays etc.) starting with 'HP Deskjet 840'. I immediately noticed how the superior, printing quality delivered by 'HP Deskjet 840' ranked alongside Epson Stylus' upon my visual examination...

..., although I personally prefered the looks of the 2000C. The printer in beige and grey and has a small display above the output tray, surrounded by 6 buttons.
THE BUTTONS
Let me first explain what HP were thinking with this one. The machine is intended for the machine, where many people will use it at once. For this reason, HP have taken the tools that would usually sit in the 'HP Toolbox' in windows and put it on the printer itself. Using the display and 3 of the buttons you can do ANYTHING with the printer, from canceling jobs to aligning printheads. The display also shows you the ink cartridge levels when idle, and can tell you printhead health in a percentage (e.g. 90%). While this is a very good idea for the office, at home I'd prefer a toolbox in windows. The standard edition comes with a 250 sheet input tray, although you can add...

...After years of using a laptop it was becoming an increasing nuisance being able to print only back at the office or my home. I travel a lot up and down the country with my job and the laptop was useless to me as I lacked an adequate printer, I'd carry it with me all over Britain but never use it. It got to the point where I'd carry a laser printer in the boot of my car which was extremely heavy and ran off a battery pack which meant it ran out after printing only one or two pages. As you can imagine, I was becoming increasingly annoyed so I approached my boss and after months of persuasion I finally arrived at work to find this little beauty.
