Advantages: Gorgeus Design, Excellent printouts, Fast Disadvantages: Expensive to buy, expensive consumables
...and the consumables are cheap (especially compatible ones) But for a change, it was decided that we'd try a HP. Hewlett Packard are a large transnational corporation with a good reputation behind them. They've recently bought the computer manufacturer "compaq" and are expanding even further across the globe as they endeavour to become a lead manufacturer in the IT industry, of which arguably they already are to an extent. So having this knowledge behind this, it seemed obvious that the manufacturers support would be relatively good and in buying a good brand we wouldn't have too many difficulties.

Advantages: Easy and great pictures! Disadvantages: Very big (size)
...is on hp to pull something equally good out of the hat.
In fact, the pressure is really on hp because Epson definitely came up with a better name for its home photo studio. Imagine going online, or into a computer store and asking for a PictureMate. It's simple, iconic even - just like asking for an iPod - you don't even have to know who made it: "I'll have a PictureMate please". Take hp on the other hand, Photosmart is also the name for its full size printers, as well as scanners, all-in-one printers and digital cameras. Imagine the same scene: "I'll have a Photosmart please…" "Um, which product code would that be sir?" You get my point.
For the record, there a couple of variants of the hp range of 10 x 15cm photo printers, the high end 375 which comes with a 6.4cm colour LCD display for previewing and editing prints, as well as bundled...

This printer is great if not outstanding value for money. I bought this because of it's 'all in one' features and was very impressed. The instruction manual was easy to follow and set-up was quick. Highly recommended for those who want great quality... more
Well I bought this printer about 12 months ago because I wanted a cheap, good quality HP printer with a card reader that could print good photos and documents, and that's what I got, a good sturdy printer. I'll just go through a few of the points about... more
I chose the HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One because I had the C5180 before but I wanted one with an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), which the 5180 lacks, so this is more of an upgrade for me. That aside, I prefer multifunctional printers because I do... more
