I bought this printer about a month ago to make use of the wireless printing features.

ITs extreamly straight forward to setup, you don't even need to have a computer. Plug the printer into the power and the touchscreen talks you through all the steps. You will be asked to insert A4 and photo paper for the configuration (HP provides a couple of sheets of photo paper to get you started) and once the config is done your good to go. I decided to setup the wireless straight away, and the printer detected and accepted the WEP password straight away.

This is my first printer capable of printing on photo paper and I have been very impressed by the quality. We now have a number of the photo's around the home and you wouldn't believe that they are from a home printer.

I haven't gone to the effort of timing how long it takes to print a page of A4, as I have never felt a need. After printing many documents and photos I have never felt as though I'm waiting a long time for the documents to come out, so I think that's a way of saying it prints at a quick enough speed for most people!

This printer also has a built in scanner, and after install the supplied software on my laptop was very impressed with this feature. Scanning the document, the printer will wirelessly transfer the document to the laptop, a great feature if you keep the printer in a different room to the computer.

The printer also has a number of 'apps', a lot of these app's need to be configured on the HP website. These are located on the printer touchscreen. If your used to using an iPhone prepare to be disappointed by the touchscreen, it's no where near as responsive as I have come to expect but is adequete for a printer.

On the subject of iPhones this printer is made to support Apple's Airprint and it works extreamly well, just select the document or photo you want to print and the printer will start printing, even correctly selecting the photo tray or plain paper depending on the document!

You can also email documents to the printer (it gets its own unique email address). I was a bit worried about getting spam printing but the HP software allows you to set up address that you want to allow you to print, although i'm a bit sceptical about how much we will use this feature

Overall I'm extreamly impressed with this purchase, gone are the days of having to need to purchase extra printer cables, instead you can put the printer out of the way and just pick up the documents when you need them, can't really think of any reason to not buy this!

Welcome to Ciao! I have both the Photosmart Premium C309g wireless printer and the Photosmart Premium C310a e-printer, and I really prefer the C309g despite the e-printing feature . . . mainly due to the Bluetooth capability of the earlier model . . . ♥~ Jesi ~ ♥
