Manufacturer's product description
The Advanced Port Replicator incorporates NIC pass-though so the network card of the notebook provides the networking capabilities. The Advanced Port Replicator has two integrated MultiBays. The MultiBays are USB 2.0 based. Most MultiBay devices are supported. The Advanced Port Replicator has a security slot that incorporates three levels of security. First, the Advanced Port Replicator can be secured to a stationary object. The second setting locks the Port Replicator and the notebook to a stationary object. The third setting locks the Advanced Port Replicator and the notebook to a stationary object and also locks the MultiBays preventing removal of the MultiBay devices.
Advantages: Actual printer is cheap; does its job Disadvantages: Slow; expensive ink; virtually non-existant support
...others. Saying that, I have heard reports of this specific model not being up to replicating this good quality on photo paper, but to be honest I either keep my digital shots on the computer and print them on normal paper when I want to show them off or just use a normal camera and get them professionally done. It costs around the same price when you take into consideration the cost of the ink, paper and your time, and this printer is, of course, aimed at providing for “home and school” work. I’ve never seen any claim by HP that it’s for professionals, so it should not be used as such.
Ink
***********
Even though the ink is of very high quality, you really do pay for what you get. I’m also under the impression that HP are charging extortionate prices for ink just because they know that the misled consumer will buy their branded products...

Advantages: Low price- or should be by now. Disadvantages: Not state of the art, but why should it be?

Not being state of the art this laptop will suit people who need a mobile extension to a home PC at a reasonable cost. Power users will benefit from higher specification, higher priced machinery.

Advantages: Great performance, lots of extras Disadvantages: Screen brightness, battery failure, hard disk failure
...the VGA out socket or the S-Video connector.
However my recommendation to you if you intend to use it at your desk a lot is to buy the AdvancedPortReplicator to go with it. The laptop simply connects directly onto it and clips into place. This allows you to keep the lid shut and use it like a Desktop PC.
The laptop comes with built in Wireless functionality with is great for working wirelessly at home. It also has a DVD writer built in for cutting CDs and DVDs. One thing i do like is the Mouse. Its a 'Finger drag' pad as opposed to those little centre keyboard nobbles that i can never get on with. Its responsive and accurate.
Durability.
Ive had mine for about a year and its starting to show a few knocks and scrapes. Firstly the screen is getting marked by the 2 rubber 'Feet' that are used to cushion the screen when closed...
