...Such a cord set is called an interconnection cord set and should comply with the standard IEC or EN 60799. The male side of this cord set should be a plug connector according to Standard Sheet E of IEC 60320-2-2 and not an appliance inlet according to standard sheet C 14 of IEC 60320-1. I can't see what the cross sectional area is of the fitted flexible cord is but if the cross sectional area is 0,75 mm² then the length may be maximum 2 m. An interconnection cord set should also comply with the European Directive 73/23/EEC and therefore be marked with the CE mark. Also an EC Declaration of Conformity is needed when you sell such products in the EU. I wonder if Ciao is aware of all these things, if not they should first ask the opinion of an expert (e.g. ASTA, BSI).... Read review

Also present in the small brown packaging material was the POWER CORD (together with the inkjet cartridges) that I located in the 'print cartridge door'. This POWER CORD connects to the main sockets and the ADAPTER via two ends (mains plug and adapter plug). Elsewhere, in the box contents, the ADAPTER is present in a separate bubble wrap packaging and features the three-pin socket to fit the POWER cable.
