Advantages: THREE functions all for one technology / good value for money for all THREE functions Disadvantages: The COPY function gives average results. Ink cartridges are rapidly used up in premium photos
....e. not even a microscopic trace of congealing). Although the photo HP58 cartridge is compatible with 'HP F380 DESKJET' (as well as my faulty 'HP PSC 1315'), it was not included with the packaging.
Also present in the small brown packaging material was the POWER CORD (together with the inkjet cartridges) that I located in the 'print cartridge door'. • HP LaserJet 6L Printer model C3990A
• Power cord for the printer
• HP LaserJet Toner cartridge (really I can’t remember if I got this when I got the printer or not, but I suppose they include one when u get a printer, any how if you didn’t get one, then I have the worst memory in the world).
• Sheet of printer labels in many languages including Chinese
• Some disks labeled drivers or something
• Some documents including some brochures and the user’s manual.
NOTE: I don’t know why HP doesn’t include an IEEE-1284 Compliant Parallel cable, but anyhow you must this cable because the printer...

Advantages: Small, compact, ideal for on the move, adequate speed and quality Disadvantages: Expensive consumables, runs on parallel
...------------------
The printer uses a Parallel printer cable, which is arguably one disadvantage as many recent printers run on USB making them faster and giving them better capabilities. Despite this, most new laptops and computers still have a parallel port although USB ports are becoming more and more popular. The printer can run on Windows (including 95/98/2000/Me/XP) and also, unlike many recent printer, Windows 3.x and DOS 3.3 or later. It is also compatible with macintosh (Apple MacOS 8.1 or later) however many new imacs don't have parallel ports which means it isn't always compatible.

Consumables
--------------------
One disadvantage, is like most HP printers the consumables are expensive. Brands such as HP and Lexmark not only replace the catrdige each time you buy a new one but they also come with a new print head each...
