HP power supply

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Bottom of the line hardware

...I purchased a Compaq presario 6029 a year and a half back and found it worked well for a while. Later a found out it came with a power supply that could barely support the hardware that came with it. I had upgraded my video card to a GeForce MX 440 and it would have frequent shutdowns. After extensive research and dealing with their horrid customer service I found there was no way to replace the power supply, except for having too simultaneously running. Compaq makes their money by flashing some of the high end hardware on their computers like their processors or video cards, but hide the fact that the power supplies, ram speeds, hard drives (which I should say stopped running after 3 months for no apparent reason)and even the motherboards (with slow bus speeds)are all of very poor quality. ...Nice PC Designed mostly for business use since graphics card is not for the up to date games. It has an internet adapter integrated in the system and something that is even more useful.... a card reader! These card readers can read the memory cards of your mobile phone, video camera (if your video camera has a memory card) or you digital camera! The power supply of this computer is just right for this HP Compaq Business Desktop dx2300 PC. The keyboard and the mouse is provided. Its good to see these are provided since in some other bundles are not. The monitor for this PC is not provided but hey!!!.... its quite cheap to buy so why don't you go and buy a monitor as well?... With the purchase of an additional licence the ILO can provide keyboard and mouse interaction when the operating system has loaded, so you can be truely stood at the server keyboard from 1000's of miles away. One Observation I have of the ILO is that it can be slow for the screen to react so it is really for when all other tools such as terminal services have failed on you... Read review
