Advantages: Average computer Disadvantages: Unacceptable customer service.
HP has a quality Computer. The increased level of technology they often offer is very nice and is priced very well. HOWEVER, their technical and logistics support needs help. On black Friday of November in 2006 my father bought me a laptop and put it in my name. About two months after his purchase the screen stopped working correctly, it washed out and became very pixlated. I was not upset I wanted it fixed however. Not having my A+ Cert at that ... ...because I knew I would void the Warranty.
I contacted customer support and they promptly asked me to send it back and they would have it fixed for me within 6 to 8 business day, and that they would send it back to me afterwards. I sent it back.
After six weeks I became FED UP with waiting for my laptop to be repaired. There was no tracking number because they had not yet fixed it and sent it back. I once again contacted customer support, and bought ...

Advantages: It would have been a nice laptop if it worked or replaced without delay Disadvantages: HP staff were incompetent and rude
I ordered my laptop tx1020ea from HP Store at the end of July and received it shortly after at the begining of August. So far so good.
The laptop that arrived had a test user registered on it and various files that automatically ran to test things like if the fans worked etc. One of the test files caused the laptop to reboot after 60 second making the laptop practically useless.
I rang HP store who passes me on to their Technical people in India ... ...not kidding) whom had difficulty communicating. They tried to get me to restore the Laptop using the hidden restore facility on the drive but that was missing. They had to order a recovery disc. These come from a separate company in Budapest and were currently out of stock. The wait was 7-10 business days which is not acceptable in my opinion. I asked to return the laptop and Jack/Daniel said they couldn't authorise that. I had to ask who could and ...

Advantages: Great PC when working Disadvantages: Unreliable customer services
...After purchasing a Hewlett Packard 8670 Pavilion PC, over a year after purchasing the item itself, I am still experiencing problems with Hewlett Packard. This is an account of the problems that have happened within the last year, with regards to Hewlett Packard.
The PC firstly arrived around one year ago, but unfortunately, this is when the problems first occurred. After plugging in and starting the computer, it became apparent that the supplied ... ...the least, a struggle with Hewlett Packard, the PC now works as intended, albeit after receiving a number of very expensive phone bills.
However, I do commend Hewlett Packard on the swift repair and return of the PC, which was taken from London, to Warrington, then back in a matter of three days.
But thankfully, the new CD Writer and PC works perfectly, but as I write this review on the now fully functioning PC, I have a few words of warning..

Advantages: excellent quality and reliability. Disadvantages: ink catridges are expensive
Hewlett Packard are a very well known pc and pc acessories manufactuer. They are perhaps best known for their printers and scanners. Though they manufacture pc's, digital camera and hand held computers, as well as others.
Hewlett Packard is a well respected brand, this is due to the high quality of their goods, the excellent features, the readable instructions, usefull software, reliability and excellent customer services. Hewlett Packard have managed ... ...at reasonable prices.
Hewlett Packard products are very competively priced with other brands making them an irresistable buy.
The range of model they offer are tremendus and they are always updating along with customer demands. I have got Deskjet 840C printer and I have been impressed with it since I bought it. The software was easy to install, with the instruction manual actually written in plain english.
It is very reliable and also economical ...

Advantages: Cheap Printers and cartridges Disadvantages: Obstinant staff
Now, I almost don't know where to start. A word to the wise...keep your receipt, you will most certainly need it when talking warranties to the helpdesk.
Don't get me wrong, HP printers are fantastic, some of the best. Their helpdesk staff (obviously abroad) are not so good! You could very well find youself, like me, bumped between, in and out of Warranty Helpdesks.
Another word to the wise, 60p per minute for someone who you can't understand verbally ... ...end, after an entire day (and I DO MEAN an entire day) of talking to Helpdesk, Customer Complaints, local HP retailers and anyone else who wasn't avoiding my calls, I gave in! Dug out my old Photsmart 7450, swapped the cartridges over from my dead PSC 1215 and threw it straight into the recycling dustbin.
Drastic action? Not really, an £80 printer that had cost me over £15 in telephone charges in 1 day and still wasn't working is folly.
So, my ...

The HP iPAQ 214 Enterprise Handheld is an advanced piece of kit which you can comfortably take with you anywhere you go, almost like a mini laptop! It actually runs on a 624MHz processor, I remember my first ever PC which was 133MHz, that really does put more
This printer is great if not outstanding value for money. I bought this because of it's 'all in one' features and was very impressed. The instruction manual was easy to follow and set-up was quick. Highly recommended for those who want great quality... more
