HP Envizex stations are key elements of a new category of desktop devices called "thin" clients and are targeted toward corporate customers. Thin clients leverage the power of corporate networks and the Internet rather than providing local data processing and storage on every desktop. They also address the growing challenge that organizations face in delivering a wide variety of information to the desktop, while reducing costs and simplifying administration. HP Envizex stations specifically meet these needs of commercial and technical corporate customers. HP Envizex stations provide exceptional graphics performance and a wide range of expandability features. In addition, the HP Envizex station is the industry's only X station that supports high-speed networking. With its wide range of functionality designed specifically for the technical user, HP Envizex stations are ideal for concurrent engineering environments in which communication and collaboration on projects are critical.

Advantages: Sturdy, many features Disadvantages: (nearly) outdated, powersaving options
...My Omnibook 3000 has the following quickspecs:
Pentium 200 MMX, 512 k.
80 MB EDO RAM.
3,2 GB HDD.
13,3'' TFT.
Ports: ECP, Parallel, D-SUB, IrDA, PS/2, USB, 32-BIT Cardbus.
Audio (Crystal): line ind, microphone, speaker out.
The PC has everything that you'll find in a PII-system - exept a PII processor. In other words it has been state-of-the-art, when the PC was launched.
That means that today the only new thing you might want to have is a firewire-port, and who needs that, after all?
The PC itself is as far as sturdiness is conserned probably the best HP ever made - The only thing I can compare it to is a IBM PC, which everyone knows is the highest quality.
The 13,3'' screen makes 1024x768 resolution possible at 16 bit colors (NeoMagic MagicGraph 128XD, 2 MB). It is quite bright, so you might want to install a non-HP...

Advantages: portability,durability,battery life Disadvantages: slow,underpowered
...processing don't bother. This Computer is all about portability and battery life and in so doing IBM have used underpowered components to keep the laptop as light and as battery friendly as possible. Its Pentium 3 750 MHz processor is seriously outdated and with 128Mb ram even the simplest of tasks take a lifetime to complete. And so we get to the look and feel of the laptop.
The keyboard is very comfortable and also the keys are very light to the touch although it lacks a keypad (taken away to decrease the size and weight). It is a very clean looking computer with a nice black finish covering all surfaces and nice, crisp lines which are both appealing to the eye and ergonomically designed. The track point mouse is very precise and is definitely a better choice than a touchpad.
Annoyingly the T21 only has one USB 1.1 port meaning slow...

I bought my Vanguard VT 133 about 2 years ago from a local camera shop that was closing down so I got this product brand new for about £15.99 when other shops where selling it at about £50.00 mark, some lower, some shops slightly higher. The tripod was... more
