Hexic HD (Xbox Live Arcade)

Advantages: Compelling and addictive gameplay
Disadvantages: Can be stupidly hard

...following: Most people who play Hexic HD will not have to pay for it, as it is a free game that comes packed in with the Xbox 360 console (or at least did when I purchased mine). Therefore the idea of value for money is based purely on the value for those who purchase it as part of any other arrangement. ...game. However, don't misunderstand. Hexic HD would be a bargain at 800 Microsoft Points, but is even more of a bargain as a free game on the Xbox 360. One last thing, just to give you an idea of how addictive this game is: When I brought my 360 home for the first time, I had with it a copy of Gears of War and Dead Rising. Advantages: good hard drive which looks nice and can store whatever you want!
Disadvantages: quite expensive - but you can still do alot with it!

...bulky and can store up to 20GB worth of whatever you want to put on there be it films, music, games, etc. It does however slot very nicely on the top of the console and once on it looks like it should be there and is just another part of the console. It is also very easy to remove and put back on and can therefore be easily taken round a mate's house in order to show him your game saves or something like that. So, what can be put on there: When you purchase this hard drive it comes with a n xbox live arcade game already stored on there, it is Hexic HD - a cool little puzzle game which is always worth a play if you get a bit bored. But if you delete it there is no way of getting it back at the moment - as I accidentally deleted it! You can store, quite obviously, up to 20Gb worth of stuff. You get a free game, Hexic HD, to start you off, but games are bought using "Points" - around 1400 per £10. You can top up online, with scratch cards or via the console. Game content, such as new levels, and game demos are delivered by the same mechanism. Demos are free, as is much of the game downloadable content, - however, much is paid for using the Microsoft points. Talking of Downloads leads me to the negatives of the console. Firstly, the hard drive is effectively essential if you either want to play old XBOX games or go online.
