In terms of misuse hi5 seems alright, there are a few who put porn on their images when its against the rules but apart from the odd few its quite alright. I have noticed it is getting more popular as strange people add me as friends/send me comments.
Hi5 have now allowed you to personalise your profile, like using html coding, so people now have mouse effects and videos playing on their profile. Hi5 also allow you to have music tracks playing on your profile. Hi5 have created groups like according to schools attended etc, intending to re-unite old friends, has that happened? well yes actually I've met many old primary school friends again through hi5 and its great to see how they've turned out. On hi5 you can see the people who have visited your profile, you can also search for people, keep a journal, scrapbook etc. People can leave comments on your hi5 personal page and can also leave photo comments. (Which you can accept or reject) People can also give each other 'fives' like for example categories include cute, best friend, handsome etc.
The main competitors to hi5 are facebook.com - very popular with university students - infact there was a recent article that students on facebook were discussing exam papers or something and that they were going to be investigated. Other sites include bebo, orkut and many more. They are all extremely similar, facebook however looks quite unique as you can draw pictures on peoples 'walls' - (equivalent of giving comments on their comment page)

Advantages: Find Old Friends, Make New Ones, Easily Accesible and Useable Disadvantages: Needs More People Taking An Interest
Hi5.com is a lot like 'Friends Reunited' and other sites like that as its sole purpose it to reunite but to do this it needs a lot of members and sadly, i dont think it has enough, yet. It has the potential to be one of the best sites of it's kind as it is simple to navigate around it and everything is very easy to achieve on it. This is profitable for the site because i assume the main people who use it will be middle-aged and in my experience (family ... ...but she was introduced to hi5.com by a friend and now they have found 2 of their old school friends on it. She can use the site effectively but any other site, she's useless. Not for my Nan but a good feature of hi5.com is being able to invite people from your hotmail, yahoo or outlook express email adresses, saves searching. The site does have over 30 million people registered now but i think many of these are not very active on the site. If they ...

Advantages: Good site Disadvantages: no drawing board
HI5 is another social networking website which has all the features like all the social networking sites. I used this site as my friend told me to use it i noticed how many random messages and requests i was getting i joined in 2005 and i noticed the sites popurality. I even got people from my home town messaging me it was freaky at first but then it got ok i decided to delete my HI5 with all the weird people adding and i had seen profiles with the ... ...for all towns nearly

HI5 is a popular website used by a lot of people now a days with all the comment features like all the social website. The only thing HI5 does not offer is drawing on others profiles like Facebook does overall the site a good site but look out for the weird people who add you then message like they know you! ...

Hi5.com is an International social network website. I am also a member of this site. It is a good site in almost every respect, but in spite of that, unfortunately, it was long, there was not increasing my friend circle. Therefore it was long since I did not login there. Nowadays the host of this site has taken praise worthy endeavor, that which seems good to me. The host of the Hi5.com has been enthusiastic to increase the member's friend circles. ... ...friend circle has been increased there. I have observed in the world of friendship, many frauds are present there. There many innocent girls are being cheated everyday. Reversely some fraud girls are there.
