Advantages Find Old Friends, Make New Ones, Easily Accesible and Useable
Disadvantages Needs More People Taking An Interest
Hi5.com is a lot like 'Friends Reunited' and other sites like that as its sole purpose it to reunite but to do this it needs a lot of members and sadly, i dont think it has enough, yet. It has the potential to be one of the best sites of it's kind as it is simple to navigate around it and everything is very easy to achieve on it. This is profitable for the site because i assume the main people who use it will be middle-aged and in my experience (family etc) many people's main use of the internet is to find old friends on sites such as this one. For example my Nan has never used a computer in her life and so she is, basically, clueless, but she was introduced to hi5.com by a friend and now they have found 2 of their old school friends on it. She can use the site effectively but any other site, she's useless. Not for my Nan but a good feature of hi5.com is being able to invite people from your hotmail, yahoo or outlook express email adresses, saves searching.
The site does have over 30 million people registered now but i think many of these are not very active on the site. If they were it would be so much better. The site is up-and-coming however and a lot of new features are apparently being implemented such as member blogs.I would recommend this if it was the only site of it's type but sadly for it, it is not, and so i will not recommend. Unless your like my Nan. In that case i do recommend.
Sadly for Hi5.com, there are many other sites out there, better than it.

i love hi5 and think its great!!! People are very active on there and I would disagree with what you said about middle aged people on there as from what I've seen the age bracket is mainly 16-25! Good review
