...i did'nt want anything smaller than 14 inches as i had a 17 inch screen on my old decktop pc and it would just not seem write looking and straining my eye's over a tiny screen so my choice was 14 inches or larger,internet was alway a proplem for me as i live in a loft flat and i hate wires running around the skirting boards so the laptop also had to be wireless the best choice was the CENTRINO as this was most reliable..

When looking through all the laptop's available i chose the HI-GRADE laptop because it was slightly cheaper than the rest plus it had the extra ram a total of 512 mb's that was needed for my art work and 3d construction and modeling program's the laptop had the PENTIUM M processor i wanted that was fast enought to use with everything i need it for, the CENTRINO...

..., which is very usfull. Though the faults are under teh standard warrenty it does show hi-grade are on the consumers side.
So for now I would advise you not to purchase the product unless they stop using SIS. Also the graphics cards and sound cards are very poor (also made by SIS). So if you are looking for a system you are likly to break and just want it covered this would be ideal, as providing you have a back up of your information you will get on with any notino system. I would say this system is an entry level or a system for those people who wish to take it fishing or a place likly for it to get damaged (due to its free accidental damage scheme)....

...hard drive, while the freezing continued,. I sent it back to HiGrade who took an age to repair the hard disk and did nothing about the freezing,. I rang them about it, they took it, it came back. Nothing. just that it had been checked and the processor resetted. Rang them again just before I was going abroad and pleaded for a new model as I had lost all confidence in the model, they arranged to take it and never took it which I found when I got back. Quite irate now, I rang them again and they came and picked it up. They said now it was because of my low memory, so I agreed to pay £60 for an upgrade, taking it up to 64Mb. I turned it on, it worked for the 10 minutes it was functioning. It saved itself to disk when I went to the toilet, and I could not get it to open again.
