Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi DS or officially known as: Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: The Genie & the Amp is a game about the japanese rock and roll band Puffy (HiHi Puffy Ami Yumi) and their adventures.

The at first got me confused because you are walking in a 3d side scrolling environment that has 2d characters and 2d segments which i feel is pulled off fairly well.

I feel that the storyline is pretty solid with the play playing as Ami and Yumi whilst they travel through time with a genie so that they can play the ultimate world tour.

Another bonus of the game is that the sound and music especially is a treat to listen to as you will get music from the duo of J-Pop which is very refreshing to hear.

On the multi-player side their is a multi-card player option but i feel that the game suffers from a story mode where somethings you will get stuck at areas along with fairly repetive gameplay to boot.

Overall Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi: The Genie & the Amp is a game that will surprise many and is one I feel that you should buy as it is underappreciated by a long way.
