Best years of your life - ironic questionmark
Review of Higher Education Administration by Cazz

Advantages: good terms and conditions, secure, learning environment!
Disadvantages: large institutions can be very intransigent

...would I recommend working in Higher Education Administration? Well, in the long term it wasn’t for me. I could however see a lot of people developing excellent careers around me, e.g. in counselling and advice work, so if you can pursue your aims effectively within this kind of institution it might be just what you are looking for – for a few years at least. The employment conditions are excellent, and I was fortunate to make some very ... Read review

Choose Business Adminisration
Review of Business Administration by  darrenloud

Advantages: Business knowledge is the most useful skill to have, relatively easy if you know a bit already
Disadvantages: Theory can be a bit tedious, have to have broad knowledge in many areas of business practices

...I am a first year student studying Business Administration, why did I choose to take it? I chose it because I found it offers the biggest spectrum of studies in business. It covers many areas including; micro and macroeconomics, marketing, IT, business organisation, behaviour and practice, stats and business accounting to name a few main ones. I am studying at Lowestoft College, affiliated with Anglian Polytechnic University. Lowestoft College offers a whole range of further education courses. I would like to tell you about an aspect of the college that very few people know about. Lowestoft College offer a selection of HE (higher education) courses. I am studying for a BA in Business Administration. It is unfortunate that very few people are aware of this course, there are only 4 new students who have enroled this year... Read review

Lowestoft College Affiliated with APU
Review of Anglia Polytechnic University by  darrenloud

Advantages: High quality teaching, intense in that the tutor to student ratio is excellent.
Disadvantages: So few students that the classroom often lacks almosphere.

It is unfortunate that very few people are aware of this course, there are only 4 new students who have enroled this year including me!!! Jobs.ac.uk well worth a look
Review of jobs.ac.uk by  sdc123456

Advantages: lots of vacancies
Disadvantages: not every university takes part

...If you are looking to secure a job in the higher education sector, then I highly recommend this site. Vacancies range from administrative to IT and research. There is a very good search engine whereby you can search according to location, job title or vacancy type. Application methods are normally either by email or telephone and are directed to the institution itself, so response rates are good. In addition, you can also be notified of new vacancies on a daily basis by email. Although not every university is an active member of this site, approximately 90% are. In closing, this is the best UK site on the net for these types of jobs.... Read review
