Higher Nature Fish Oil Omega 3 Capsules

Advantages: Genuinely high Omega-3 fatty acid content and doesn't taste fishy.
Disadvantages: Can seem quite expensive (though it is actually the best value for money we've found).

...Myth: Because a product says it has 1000mg of fish oil, it has more Omega-3 than a 500mg capsule. The Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish oil are EPA and DHA. If you read the back of most fish oil packs and total up the EPA and DHA you may well find that there is only about 120mg in a capsule - in our experience that's about the average, with a few products hitting the 300s. The supplement market is therefore ripping off consumers by hiding behind the fish oil total and not explaining that if you are taking your fish oil for omega-3 then their product is actually quite weak. In comparison the Nature's Best 1100mg fish oil contains nearly 700mg of omega-3 fatty acids and is the strongest one we can find on the market. ...The end of term school report last Christmas for my eldest son said in effect that he didn't concentrate enough. This prompted me to wonder if there was anything I could be doing to help but without producing a long teenage sulk. Rich in Omega 3 and fatty acids. Is recognised to help many different things including mild depression, concentration and has even been used in experiments on the affects it has over cancer (even though no one would actual write this on the label). It has been advertised a lot recently for its ability to help concentration including on children. Children who took it for a month and had tests throughout that time frame showed significant improvements in their concentration in class.
