...Background.
You can take FolicAcid Tablets at any time in your life. Especially if you are trying to concieve or you are pregnant. Even with a good diet, extra nutrients may be necessary before and during pregnancy. It is safe to take the whole time you are pregnant, even up till the end of breast feeding. I started taking the tablets at roughly 5 weeks when i found out i was expecting. Only because my doctor recommended them.
Low levels of folicacid may lead to anaemia. Most folicacid deficiency is the result of a poor diet, because it is abundant in foods such as leafy green vegetables, cereals and yeast. I ate loads of Branflakes infact a big bowl every morining. This might have helped with the constipation. Try and eat some of the following
*Milk
*Potatoes
*Fish
*Cabbage, Brussel Sprouts etc...
* Wheat

Sore tongue, which is red
Apathy
Anemia
Digestive problems
Fatigue and tiredness
Graying hair
