Review of "Highlander Explorer Rucksack"
If you are off travelling, don't have a fortune to spend, and want something totally practical then maybe this is your bag!The main backpack (60 Litres) zips open like a normal suitcase (from the bottom to top and back down) which makes life a lot easier when arriving at hostel and you wanted to dig out your pi's quickly without having to pull EVERYTHING out (that's the problem with the general travel rucksacks, which are designed for hikers who tend to unpack everything at once!).
It also comes with a zip-on day sack at the front, which is an ideal size to take out for trips out in the day.I'm am off travelling for an indefinite amount of time in a few months and have asked a lot of people & done A LOT of research into backpacks/ rucksacks. The hardest part I'm struggling to get my head around is that they all say PACK LIGHTLY, no matter how tempting it is to pack all your fashion faves. The ideal size being around 60-70 litre size. Anything bigger you'll be struggling to carry it. Therefore this bag is about right in my opinion.
There are hip straps which are good to help distribute the weight from your back to hips. One of the only down falls I can think of is the weight of the actual pack back before you even packed it.
