Our kitten is now 12 months old and we were recommended this by the cat breeder and our vet! We are now putting him on the Adult version...
Advantages - Great for nutrition/source of vitamins/minerals/fibre - Cats love it! - No artifical flavours or colourants added - Antitoxidant vitamins to promote healthy digestive system (this certainly is the case - regular poos/right consistency/some smelly!!!!!) :-) - You don't need to use wet food (however, I do mix some wet food in (whiskas) just to give it a more juicier type feed) - If you don't use wet food it's great in hotter weather (no chance of it being attacked by flies or going off!) - Works out less expensive (£12.50 - £13 for a 2kg pack which has lasted 6 weeks! You can get the bigger bags but this takes up space in your storage area and it's harder to carry! - Great for the teeth (although my cat is only 12 months old), I was advised by the breeder that cats who feed on wet food with a few dry munchies as treats have more risk of ginavitus (my previous cat had a few problems of tartare build up and rotten teeth - could have been less severe if I had used this dry nutrition food! - Packing gives you dtails of how much to feed (however, I do mix with wet food! - Has a reseable top, great for keeping the product fresh - Kitten, Adult and Senior types available - Special dietary food as well (high in Protein available for cats that have had operations/feeling poorly) - 100% safisfaction guaranteed or your money back (not tried, but I presume a marketing ploy and hopefully will be no quibble!)
Disadvantages - Only two flavours (Tuna, Chicken) but the vet and breeder said that this does not matter! - Not available at supermarkets like Tesco, Sainsbury - have to go to the Vets (slightly more expensive) or Pets Superstores - Need to keep plenty of fresh water around, as it makes the cat thirsty!!

Advantages: complete food, seems well balanced, easy to store and serve Disadvantages: Can be addictive, causing cats who snack to gain weight, High initial outlay.
