Review of "Hilton Los Cabos Beach And Golf Resort, Cabo San Lucas"
Ok, sorry folks , I did infact neglect to give more of a review of the hotel itself so here goes: The hotel is always in immaculate conditons as far as cleanliness goes. As for the rooms, I thought they had a very tasteful rustic yet elegant decor bright and lively but not tacky and overdone. Room service was good, can't complain. Excellent concierge staff that went above and beyond the call of duty, especially head concierge, Pablo Elizondo, who was just wonderful. This Hilton boasts two excellent lunch time restaurants. One on each end of the hotel. Madero, which was run by a Mr. Roberto Martinez with wait staff that was right on top of things even when things got hectic( their was a fairly large company group booked during my first week's stay) therefore lunch time at the pool could get a bit loud, so I chose to spend my early afternoons basking in the sun mostly at the beach and also at the quiter poolside of the hotel ( far left) next to the sushi restaurant which ironically is where the kids' pool is located but was so much quiter and calm. Had lunch at the sushi restaurant which I though was scrumptious, everything was so fresh. Lovely low key evening bar (when the group was off property partying) Good bar food. Carmen, my usual server was delightful! They also offer dinner service to those who want main course dishes but I wouldn't order dinner at the bar again because the kitchen is too far away and it compromises the quality of the food. My food arrived a bit too cold for my liking, so I let them stick to what they do best which is bar food. Food price value - the Hilton is not cheap, but they do offer quality, fresh food and have an overall well stocked bar. I learned that a fabulous tasting tequila is not neccesarily the most expensive one (Try the Cuervo Reserva de la Familia next time you are in Cabo , you will be pleasantly surprised.) Overall value of prices versus quality and service of the hotel. Decent. Plan to spend an average of 200 dollars a day for two on food and beverages. The only downside of the Hilton is that since they are located on the corrider between the two main towns, taxi service prices can become a bit steap if you are going out each day so we actually rented a car for a few days and did all our sight seeing and shopping then. And lastly let's not foget the heavenly SWIMMABLE semi private beach. Thumbs up for the Hilton!!
