Hinari 700BTU 3IN1 A

Advantages: Quiet (with mod), removable water tank, air direction control, cheap
Disadvantages: Water tank could do with being bigger (I'm being picky here!)

...I was looking for a relatively decent air con unit last Friday due ot the extereme heat. I was torn between the Focus 12000 BTU Hinari unit and the 14000 BTU unit I'd seen in a B&Q catalogue (NOT the split unit as seen on their website) and luckily I managed to test both of them so here is my review/comparison. Cooling:- The B&Q unit is rated at 14000 BTU's vs the Hinari unit which is rated at 12000 BTU's. From what I could feel in the store I'd say the B&Q unit does feel slightly cooler but not by a huge amount. In an average sized room I'd say you might get an extra 0.5 to 1 degree celsius off your room tempreture. For reference, the Hinari cooled a 9sqm office I was working in from 30c to 25.2c in around an hour and also drastically reduced the humidity. This made the office competely bearable again. Advantages: All types of cooking in one oven and a Child-proof lock
Disadvantages: Not large enough for big families, but would be good as a backup

.... That was 22nd February 2006, and I have now tested all it's five cooking methods. Normal microwave cooking = The maximum power level is 800W and you can set the cooking time from 10 seconds to 1 hour and 35 minutes. It has a glass turntable and I was very satisfied with HINARI Lifestyle performance both for cooking and defrosting. My rating **** Hot air convection cooking I found this equally as good as using my main "fan assisted" oven. It pushes hot air through the oven cavity which browns and crisps food quickly and evenly. As my conventional oven has no automatic timing facility, I found it great to be able to walk away and let the Hinari time my cooking for me. For the two of us it was great for casseroles and the Sunday roast, but it would be a little small for large families... Read review

...I have been living my boyfriend now for about six months. When we were preparing to move in together we had a lot of appliances to buy. After we’d got the house nearly sorted we went to Tesco one evening and picked up some smaller electrical devices, things like the iron, etc. While we were there we spotted some sandwich toasters, obviously we nearly bought the Tesco Value one but then we saw the Hinari SP275, not like the old sandwich toasters, it was just to hot plates?! I ummed and ahhed for a few minutes as it was more expensive, but then it looked great and for £19.97 I couldn’t really argue besides which it was already in the trolley.
