Advantages: Quiet (with mod), removable water tank, air direction control, cheap Disadvantages: Water tank could do with being bigger (I'm being picky here!)
...is rated at 52db vs 59db for the B&Q unit and I'd agree that these seem about right. HOWEVER, when I first got the Hinari it was much louder than it should be as the plastic casing was rattling against the A/C radiator near the bottom. Sticking a small piece of cardboard inbetween the two massively reduced the noise.
Ergonmics:-
The Hinari wins this hands down, first of all it has a removable water tank which makes emptying the water every two hours or so VERY easy, the B&Q unit has a built in water tank which must be drained via a pipe at the bottom of the unit into another container, a right hassle!
Both units can be run continously by ducting the water it takes out of the air via a tube to a sink or drain. However, the sink or drain must be below the pipe's exit on the A/C unit. On the B&Q unit the exit is right at the bottom of the unit...

Advantages: Cheap and Cheerful Disadvantages: A Little Basic
...I found that this blender works well for occassional use. Costing £14.99 I suppose you get what you pay for...
However I wouldn't advise using the full capacity of the jug as ours burnt the motor out after only the third use.
It is very simple to use as there is very little that even the most-technophobic can fail to understand with a 2-speed switch.
The Jug is of 1.5l capacity.
I would also advise adding a quantity of water as it seems to throw food back up the blender jug and the only foods that I found blended easily are melon and banana. I have successfully blended foods as "hard" as apples, carrots and potatoes with no problems.
The only disappointment is the premature death of the item and the lack of support from Hinari and their website....

Advantages: simple to use Disadvantages: small size bread
...I have had my machine for a while now and love using it. my eldest daughter likes to use it as well as my 10 year old daughter, but they can't remember the recipes. The recipe book that I got with the machine was well used and a bit tatty. So I decided to e-mail hinari to see if they could help us out. Within 3 days I had a new recipe book. They didn't need to send it out but they obviously must pride them selves on their after sales service. I will have no worries about buying an Hinari product in the future the reason that I bought this machine was because of the price but it was well worth it....
