Advantages: Quiet (with mod), removable water tank, air direction control, cheap
Disadvantages: Water tank could do with being bigger (I'm being picky here!)

...making this very difficult, on the Hinari it is half way up making it MUCH easier. The air is electronically directable with the Hinari meaning you can also redirect it from the remote control. The B&Q unit only pumps the air in one direction and you can't even change it manually unless you physically move the entire unit! The Hinari unit is slightly lighter and also comes in white vs the B&Q unit which comes in Silver. The only other thing is the remote control. Advantages: Cheap and Cheerful

...I found that this blender works well for occassional use. Costing £14.99 I suppose you get what you pay for... However I wouldn't advise using the full capacity of the jug as ours burnt the motor out after only the third use. It is very simple to use as there is very little that even the most-technophobic can fail to understand with a 2-speed switch. The Jug is of 1.5l capacity. I would also advise adding a quantity of water as it seems to throw food back up the blender jug and the only foods that I found blended easily are melon and banana. I have successfully blended foods as "hard" as apples, carrots and potatoes with no problems. The only disappointment is the premature death of the item and the lack of support from Hinari and their website.... Read review

Advantages: simple to use

...I have had my machine for a while now and love using it. my eldest daughter likes to use it as well as my 10 year old daughter, but they can't remember the recipes. The recipe book that I got with the machine was well used and a bit tatty. So I decided to e-mail hinari to see if they could help us out. Within 3 days I had a new recipe book. They didn't need to send it out but they obviously must pride them selves on their after sales service. I will have no worries about buying an Hinari product in the future the reason that I bought this machine was because of the price but it was well worth it.... Read review
