...There's nothing worse when your cooking than to have a piece of electrical equipment die on you. That's exactly what happened to me as I was blending some tomatoes for a spaghetti Bolognese. I foolishly decided I could live without a blender, and it's when you don't have the equipment you suddenly realise how much you used it. My old blender was a Braun and had been around for the best part of ten years, when it finally went to the great electrical graveyard in the sky.
I stumbled on the Hinari, purely by chance, I was looking at electrical stuff in Tesco's when I noticed the price tag of the blender. You know me, never one to miss out on a potential bargain, into the trolley it went!

Is very simple. The blender is in a box with colour pictures depicting what's inside. Along with the make and model...

Advantages: Small, powerful Disadvantages: Not for large dishes
...When purchasing my second microwave oven, the considerations were - price, size and power rating.
PRICE
~~~~~
The price of this Hinari Lifestyle microwave oven was £24.99 (02/05/2004) on special offer at Tesco Extra. I had already seen the same appliance at a local Curry's Store for £34.99
SIZE
~~~~
Outside dimensions - 295 x 458 x 370 mm - ideal for limited kitchen workspace.
Inside dimensions - 206 x 300 x 284 mm - Ok it isn't very large, but size isn't everything.
Oven capacity - 17 litre - This is great if this is all the space that you need, it will house a large dinner plate and medium size casserole dish. Max approximately 270 mm diameter.
POWER RATING
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
800 Watts is pretty powerful for a small, cheap microwave. It certainly heats well enough and fast enough.
Advantages: Quiet (with mod), removable water tank, air direction control, cheap Disadvantages: Water tank could do with being bigger (I'm being picky here!)
...I was looking for a relatively decent air con unit last Friday due ot the extereme heat. I was torn between the Focus 12000 BTU Hinari unit and the 14000 BTU unit I'd seen in a B&Q catalogue (NOT the split unit as seen on their website) and luckily I managed to test both of them so here is my review/comparison.
Cooling:-
The B&Q unit is rated at 14000 BTU's vs the Hinari unit which is rated at 12000 BTU's. From what I could feel in the store I'd say the B&Q unit does feel slightly cooler but not by a huge amount. In an average sized room I'd say you might get an extra 0.5 to 1 degree celsius off your room tempreture.
For reference, the Hinari cooled a 9sqm office I was working in from 30c to 25.2c in around an hour and also drastically reduced the humidity. This made the office competely bearable again.
Noise:-
The Hinari...
I have owned this vacuum cleaner for a few years now and have found it to be excellent overall.
It picks up everything, although doesn't give that "groomed" look to carpets that many cleaners do. This leaves you feeling that it hasn't cleaned as well more
