On the box that the toaster comes in it says that it is a 2 slice toaster with cool walls. This just means that if you touch the side of the toaster when it is on you shouldn't get burnt. It als has variable width bread slots. This really makes it easier if you buy more than one make of bread as they all tend to be different in size.
As well as variable width bread slots and cool walls this toaster ...

...bought my model of the hinari lifestyle toaster.
At the time I bought my toaster, I was a bit short of cash, so I bought the cheapest toaster available at the time, which was ....you've guessed it, the hinari lifestyle toaster.
As it was so cheap, I expected a very basic toaster that wouldn't last much beyond a year. How wrong I was! This toaster is still going strong, some 10-15 years later! (Sorry, I get a bit hazy on exactly how long ago).
... ...the finished slice of toast, which is generally quite accurate, except when using dry bread which toasts quicker, so needs a lower/lighter setting.
There is a neat little crumb tray which can be unscrewed to release tons of crumbs, or a few crumbs depending on how houseproud you are (frequency of emptying). All these years after purchase I still have a toaster in good condition. No scratches, even though I am notoriously hard on my kitchen appliances. ...

This toaster is perfect for those people who favour functionality over looks. It's a very basic, cheap toaster that does the job just as well as any other expensive toaster.
It looks quite nice. It's white plastic on the outside and is capable of toasting two slices of bread at the same time.
On the front of the toaster there is a white plastic dial which is used to set the timer of the toaster. It goes from setting 6 that will keep the bread in ... ...toast to setting 1 which hardly cooks the bread. I have the setting on number 4 as this is the perfect cooking time for my toast. It produces it all golden brown.
Underneath the dial, there is a cancel button so if you have selected a higher setting than you wanted you can pop the toast up before it has finished cooking by pressing this cancel button
There is a little crumb tray which if you slide it out from the bottom of the toaster, you can ...

Advantages: attractive and does what it's supposed to plus little extras Disadvantages: none
Toast is just toast right? no matter what you use to toast it, whether it be under the grill or in a toaster - it's still toast....... But use a good toaster and say goodbye to the smell and smoke when you run to answer the door or the phone (or if you're like me, basically just get carried away on something else! hehe) and no more flapping the tea towel to turn off the smoke alarm!
In fact I was very well known by the neighbours for burnt toast ... ...time I invested in a toaster, I'm sure the neighbours think I've left my Husband and children.
Anyway, not knowing much about the differences between toasters I chose one that wasn't too fancy or costly or too cheap and ugly. So I chose this one, it's white in colour and holds four slices of bread. Its long but slim so didn't take up much of the work surface. The box contained instructions for use and safety and is simple and straightforward to ...

Advantages: Low price, basic and makes great toast Disadvantages: Not very stylish to look at
This toaster is very functional but not all that stylish in the looks department. It's made of white plastic on the outside and is a 2 slice toaster.
There are 6 different variable browning control settings so you can adjust it to however you like your toast best. The slots are quite wide so it will take bread of varying widths which is very handy especially if you use uncut loaves or like door-stop size wedges of toast.
The toaster is easy to ... ...is long enough to plug it in with ease. The sides of the toaster are what is known as cool wall which means that you won't get burnt if you touch them even if you have just used the toaster.
This toaster is ideal for anyone on a budget and is just as good and effective as other more expensive models. I bought it for just £8 from The Store shopping catalogue. The only thing that it hasn't got is a rack above it to heat up your buns, croissants, teacakes ...
