Advantages: Quiet (with mod), removable water tank, air direction control, cheap Disadvantages: Water tank could do with being bigger (I'm being picky here!)
...making this very difficult, on the Hinari it is half way up making it MUCH easier.
The air is electronically directable with the Hinari meaning you can also redirect it from the remote control. The B&Q unit only pumps the air in one direction and you can't even change it manually unless you physically move the entire unit!
The Hinari unit is slightly lighter and also comes in white vs the B&Q unit which comes in Silver.
The only other thing is the remote control. Both have an LCD remote but the B&Q one "looks" better than the Hinari one.
Price:-
The B&Q unit is £300 and the Hinari Focus unit is £230...

Advantages: Cheap and Cheerful Disadvantages: A Little Basic
...I found that this blender works well for occassional use. Costing £14.99 I suppose you get what you pay for...
However I wouldn't advise using the full capacity of the jug as ours burnt the motor out after only the third use.
It is very simple to use as there is very little that even the most-technophobic can fail to understand with a 2-speed switch.
The Jug is of 1.5l capacity.
I would also advise adding a quantity of water as it seems to throw food back up the blender jug and the only foods that I found blended easily are melon and banana. I have successfully blended foods as "hard" as apples, carrots and potatoes with no problems.
The only disappointment is the premature death of the item and the lack of support from Hinari and their website....

Advantages: Price, colour Disadvantages: A total waste of money
...I bought the hinari micro, when my other one of over 10 yrs started to slow down on the cooking front.
I chose the hinari as i liked the colour and the price seemed good for what you got.
Anyway, I used it often and found it a little steamy inside but thought nothing of it, just wiped up the condensation and carried on.
It was only after my warranty expired that I found it had a serious problem, it didnt seem to let the steam escape from the inside of the micro. No matter how quickly I wiped up the condensation the bottom of the micro began to blister, I now have a micro that looks good but is useless for cooking as the inside where it has blistered has gone all rusty, and the sad thing it my old one is still going strong in my Fiance's house!
I didnt have my micro somewhere where it didnt have enough room for the vents to work, theres...

I bought this Samsung t.v. in December 2007 from Argos for £249.99, a special offer of £50 below the R.R.P. at that time.
Initial impressions were positive - high connectivity (PC, Scart, Component, HDMI, standard analogue), and it's fairly slim,... more
