Hiper Media Center Case:

Bought this Case for me bedroom to go with my new television, The first thing I thought when I seen the case was how small it was looks similar to a DVD Player in size and you would not fink you could fit a pc in there. The Case its self is Black with a Small button in the centre of the case, this is the power button to turn the computer on. On the Right Side of the case there is a Plastic panel the size of the CD Drive this flips down and behind it you have 4 USB ports. On the Left hand side of the case is where the CD Drive goes (Note CD Drive must be slim line i.e. Laptop Drive you get laptop Cd drive converter free with case).

Once inside of the case you will find a small PSU which is 200watts enough to power your home media center, just enough space for your Mini-ATX Motherboard and Hard Drive and Slim line CD Drive. The case is only 5cm High so you need to get a CPU Fan that is small enough to fit in the case the one I bought was Hiper's Official CPU Fan, This can be bought from www.xcase.co.uk. If you are wanting to add Expansion Cards please remember that you will need a riser card this is so that the Card can sit side wards in the case as it is too high and you can only have 1 expansion card in the small case. This case is very fiddly and I would not recommend building a pc with this case if you have not done it before, you also need to route the wires so they do not catch the fan when you close the lid on the case.

After Finishing the build of the Media Center PC it looks superb and when you put it on your television stand you would not believe that it is really a computer! .The Computer runs a little hot about 35 degrees Celsius but it is ok. The main thing that this case is missing is a LCD Display on the front and a built in remote sensor, Hiper have soon fixed this with the latest model it has both LCD Screen and Remote sensor but it is double the price

I bought this case for £55 from Ebuyer and it cost £15 for the Low Profile CPU Cooler and it cost £12 for the PCI Riser card these were both from XCase, all in all I would say that it is worth it if you want a very tidy media center pc in your living room, Well worth the money but you need to make sure you can find a slim line Optical Drive I found mine on eBay for around £40 brand new for a DVD Writer.

Overall Rating for Case 9/10
