My first build PC chosen my Mother Board, My graphics card, My Ram, My HDD.My DVD and CD drives Hmmm what else do I need ?
For any modern PC you need Power and lots of it. But how much ? Well you can get out your calculator and work out power consumption of each installed item then have how many watts are being consumed ......or play it safe.
These days a minimum of 350 W is recommended so I went for power and value for money. Hiper has a good reputation for quality and I wanted a quieter power supply than the one in my last PC.
Installation is dependant on your case I had loads of room in mine and as it was a new build it was the first thing I installed. It was supplied with plenty of cables and supports the 939 AMD chip sets. It was supplied with all the connectors you could need to power two hard drives, two DVD / CD drives and all the connectors for mother board and for two graphics cards as well. it comes supplied with plenty of spare connectors. I liked the fact that I can unplug them from the power supply. This means if you ever need more you can buy a loom with the connectors you require and plug it in the power supply with ease. I found it easy to install and it works a treat, its quiet when running and fan speed changes dependant on demand and temp. Again I dont have to worry about how many things I add on to my Mother Board or on USB etc.
it came with a very good manual as well.
