I have recently brought a hippy chick hip seat and I love it. My little boy loves it as well.
The product helps to keep your spine striaght by distributing the childs weight evenly, whilst allowing you to carry your child securly. Suitable from around 6-9 months untill your child is three. I think it really depends on how much weight you can carry. It is also a good oppertunity to have a good cuddle with your child.
The seat is available in red, blue, green and black that I have seen and are widly available on the internet. I had mine on ebay where the prices are fractionally less than the £34.99 - £37.99 price plus delivery.
The seat also come equipt with a pocket on the inside of the belt to store coins.
The only down side to the product I feel is after a long period of use the belt has a tendency to slip. I also find it fairly bulky to wear between use's, my son is an intermitent walked. Other than that it an extremely useful, easy to use item. It also hold it value well and is really easy to sell on.
